To engage customers through retail graphics. Angadi Silks is one of Bangalore’s premier outlets to purchase traditional Indian sarees from. The store’s retail graphics and signage had to tell stories of the 600-year old brand and its innovative products.
We researched into the history of the saree, the company and its product ranges. Celebrities like Deepika Padukone are regular patrons of the store. This helped in the profiling.

We began by celebrating the saree through the eyes of Angadi. Through 600 years, the family had preserved the art of saree making and passed it on through generations. We showcased this in a History Experience Wall which formed a prominent piece of the retail graphics. Besides which graphics on women of style and in-store wayfinding in traditional copper helped set the style.

India is known as the land of sarees. The mind-boggling array of sarees the country matches the diversity on show. Our research process yielded nuggets of information which would be used in the store.

The History Experience
600 years is a lot of history. The interesting thing is that the current generation has maintained records of this history. We helped make original sketches to highlight the innovation over the years.
Celebrating women of style
Prominent women personalities prefer to shop at Angadi because of the range and quality. As a tribute to women of style we commissioned 6 sketches in pencil and ink.
Showcasing the brand
The brand experience was extended to customers in the form of a large illustrated book. This book had graphics and photography curated to complete the experience.
Perhaps the main highlight of the store design, these quaint looking copper wayfinding and signage pieces completed the experience.
Engaging in-store customers
Rezonant also helped Angadi in creating engaging campaigns targeted at store visitors.
A fine blend of traditional and modern design language in the graphics and signages, resulted in an increase of engagement of the customers. Angadi is now fast growing with the addition of other premium stores in Bangalore.
